Firaaq is a 2008 Hindi political thriller film starring Naseeruddin Shah, Deepti Naval, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Sanjay Suri. Khan Sahib is an elderly Muslim classical singer who maintains a positive outlook despite the communal riots around him. Aarti, a middle-aged Hindu housewife gives refuge to Mohsin, an orphaned Muslim boy. Muneera and her husband Hanif, a young Muslim couple return to their plundered home. Can these people overcome the effects of communal violence and begin a new life?
