Maherchi Saadi is a 1991 Marathi family film starring Alka Kubal, Ramesh Bhatkar and Vijay Chavan. Yeshwant is a mill worker who loses his wife during childbirth. He begins to hate his newborn – Laxmi and begins to believe that she brings him bad luck. Laxmi gets married and eventually faces atrocities from her new family. Will Yeshwant realise his mistake?
