Pardes is 1997 Hindi drama film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Mahima Chaudhry. The film takes a look at the life of westernised NRIs and are losing the traditional values of India. Pardes revolves around Kishorilal, an NRI, who comes to India in search of an Indian bride for his son Rajiv, and finds Ganga. However, when Ganga visits the U.S. she finds it difficult to adjust with Rajiv’s sensibilities. Will Ganga return to India, where her heart lies?
